## Trust

- hygiene: 80
- liveness: 100
- freshness: 100
- provenance: 55
- drivers: +dns-namespace +website +reachable +uptime-99% +updated-6d-ago -no-repository
- Derived from observable signals (official registry feed and our own credential-free probes); no code audit performed.

## Quality 88/100 (good)

### protocol: 100 (weight 25)

- pass `protocol.modern`: supports 2026-07-28 (server/discover)
- pass `protocol.stateless`: answers without a session
- pass `protocol.transport`: streamable HTTP
- pass `protocol.list_ttl`: tool list is cacheable (ttlMs 3600000)

### authorization: n/a (weight 15)

- n/a `auth.prm`, `auth.as_metadata`, `auth.cimd`: no remote uses OAuth
- n/a `auth.secret_in_url`: no templated URL

### tool hygiene: 71 (weight 30)

- pass `tools.descriptions`: every tool has a description
- pass `tools.description_length`: descriptions are concise
- pass `tools.schemas`: every tool has an object input schema
- fail `tools.annotations`: no tool declares readOnlyHint or destructiveHint, so clients cannot tell safe calls from risky ones
- fail `tools.directory_hints`: no tool declares all four of readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint and openWorldHint; missing: ieunit_basket (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint, openWorldHint); ieunit_value (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint, openWorldHint); ieunit_history (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint, openWorldHint); …
- pass `tools.token_cost`: about 977 tokens to load every tool
- pass `tools.api_dump`: tools are not a one-to-one API dump

### stability: 100 (weight 15)

- pass `stability.changes`: no tool changes in 30 days
- pass `stability.rug_pull`: no tool changed its meaning under the same name

### dependencies: n/a (weight 15)

- n/a `deps.known_vulns`, `deps.mcp_sdk_version`, `deps.resolvable`: no npm or PyPI package

- tools: 6, about 977 tokens to load them all
- tool set hash: 97efb58eb869cbddbbe3c484f05d4b99
- badge: [![protogrid quality](https://protogrid.dev/badge/org.ieunit/ieunit.svg)](https://protogrid.dev/servers/org.ieunit/ieunit)
- Checks run on what our credential-free, read-only probes observe; tools are never called and no code audit is performed.

## Tools (6)

- `ieunit_basket`: Get the composition of the ieUnit basket: the nine fixed components, their immutable reference prices at the base date 2017-01-10, their current prices, and how much each one has moved since then. The basket is deliberately fixed and equally weighted; it is never rebalanced. Also returns the list of unit codes accepted by ieunit_convert.
- `ieunit_compare`: Compare one basket component against the ieUnit over a period of time, measured in ieUnit rather than in a national currency. Answers questions such as how the Swiss franc, gold or Bitcoin held their value against a neutral reference. A negative figure means the component lost value relative to the ieUnit. Available components: USD, EUR, JPY, CHF, CNH, BTC, ETH, Gold, Silber.
- `ieunit_convert`: Convert an amount between the ieUnit and about 60 other units: roughly 30 fiat currencies, the 30 largest cryptocurrencies, gold and silver per gram (XAU, XAG), and XIN. Works in both directions, for example 250 CHF to ieUnit or 10 ieUnit to gold. Use "ieUnit" as the unit code for the ieUnit itself. Call ieunit_basket first if you need the list of available unit codes.
- `ieunit_history`: Get the historical value of the ieUnit in USD since its fixed base date 2017-01-10, where it started at exactly 1.00. Returns a dated series plus summary figures (start, end, total change, highest and lowest value). Use this for questions about how the ieUnit developed over time. Defaults to monthly resolution; daily data is available but produces large results over long ranges.
- `ieunit_methodology`: Get an authoritative plain-text explanation of what the ieUnit is and how it is calculated: the geometric mean formula, the fixed base date, the data sources, the governance rules for basket changes, and an explicit statement of what the ieUnit is NOT. Call this before describing or characterising the ieUnit to a user, so the description matches the published definition.
- `ieunit_value`: Get the current value of one ieUnit. ieUnit is a neutral value reference unit based on a fixed basket of nine components (five fiat currencies, Bitcoin, Ethereum, gold, silver). Returns the value in USD, CHF and EUR, the 24-hour change, and the date of the last update. Values are recalculated once per day. Use this for questions like "what is one ieUnit worth right now".
