## Trust

- hygiene: 80
- liveness: 99
- freshness: 85
- provenance: 45
- drivers: +website +reachable +uptime-97% ~updated-34d-ago -no-repository
- Derived from observable signals (official registry feed and our own credential-free probes); no code audit performed.

## Quality 88/100 (good)

### protocol: 100 (weight 25)

- pass `protocol.modern`: supports 2026-07-28 (server/discover)
- pass `protocol.stateless`: answers without a session
- pass `protocol.transport`: streamable HTTP
- pass `protocol.list_ttl`: tool list is cacheable (ttlMs 86400000)

### authorization: n/a (weight 15)

- n/a `auth.prm`, `auth.as_metadata`, `auth.cimd`: no remote uses OAuth
- n/a `auth.secret_in_url`: no templated URL

### tool hygiene: 71 (weight 30)

- pass `tools.descriptions`: every tool has a description
- pass `tools.description_length`: descriptions are concise
- pass `tools.schemas`: every tool has an object input schema
- fail `tools.annotations`: no tool declares readOnlyHint or destructiveHint, so clients cannot tell safe calls from risky ones
- fail `tools.directory_hints`: no tool declares all four of readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint and openWorldHint; missing: render_barcode (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint, openWorldHint); decode_barcode (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint, openWorldHint); validate_gtin (readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint, openWorldHint); …
- pass `tools.token_cost`: about 495 tokens to load every tool
- pass `tools.api_dump`: tools are not a one-to-one API dump

### stability: 100 (weight 15)

- pass `stability.changes`: no tool changes in 30 days
- pass `stability.rug_pull`: no tool changed its meaning under the same name

### dependencies: n/a (weight 15)

- n/a `deps.known_vulns`, `deps.mcp_sdk_version`, `deps.resolvable`: no npm or PyPI package

- tools: 4, about 495 tokens to load them all
- tool set hash: 23461547a5c1745c05a3f9ad61768404
- badge: [![protogrid quality](https://protogrid.dev/badge/io.github.appvantagelabs2-a11y/barcode.svg)](https://protogrid.dev/servers/io.github.appvantagelabs2-a11y/barcode)
- Checks run on what our credential-free, read-only probes observe; tools are never called and no code audit is performed.

## Tools (4)

- `decode_barcode`: Detect and decode all barcodes in an image. Input: base64-encoded image bytes (PNG/JPEG/WebP/anything sharp reads). Output: JSON array of {format, text}. Supports QR, Aztec, DataMatrix, Code128/39/93, EAN-13/8, UPC-A/E, ITF, PDF417, Codabar. Use formats filter to restrict results.
- `list_formats`: Static table of supported barcode formats with render/decode support and notes.
- `render_barcode`: Render text as a barcode PNG. format: one of qr, aztec, datamatrix, code128, code39, code93, ean13, ean8, upca, itf, pdf417. Output: base64 PNG plus 'decoded' self-check flag (we decode our own render; upca intentionally verifies as zero-padded EAN-13). GTIN codes must have a valid mod-10 checksum.
- `validate_gtin`: Check a product code against GTIN rules: length + mod-10 checksum. Returns {valid, type: ean13|ean8|upcA|null, normalized}. Rejects codes with a broken checksum (e.g. 8595234703191).
