## Quality 96/100 (strong)

### protocol: 88 (weight 25)

- pass `protocol.modern`: supports 2026-07-28 (server/discover)
- pass `protocol.stateless`: answers without a session
- pass `protocol.transport`: streamable HTTP
- warn `protocol.list_ttl`: tools/list declares ttlMs 0, so clients re-fetch it on every use

### authorization: n/a (weight 15)

- n/a `auth.prm`, `auth.as_metadata`, `auth.cimd`: no remote uses OAuth
- n/a `auth.secret_in_url`: no templated URL

### tool hygiene: 100 (weight 30)

- pass `tools.descriptions`: every tool has a description
- pass `tools.description_length`: descriptions are concise
- pass `tools.schemas`: every tool has an object input schema
- pass `tools.annotations`: 4 of 4 tools declare readOnlyHint or destructiveHint
- pass `tools.directory_hints`: every tool declares readOnlyHint, destructiveHint, idempotentHint and openWorldHint
- pass `tools.token_cost`: about 1,027 tokens to load every tool
- pass `tools.api_dump`: tools are not a one-to-one API dump

### stability: 100 (weight 15)

- pass `stability.changes`: 2 tool changes in 30 days
- pass `stability.rug_pull`: no tool changed its meaning under the same name

### dependencies: n/a (weight 15)

- n/a `deps.known_vulns`, `deps.mcp_sdk_version`, `deps.resolvable`: no npm or PyPI package

- tools: 4, about 1,027 tokens to load them all
- tool set hash: 5136fe03f4aed497e377e06dbafa46d2
- tools last changed: 2026-09-26T07:31:14.045Z
- badge: [![protogrid quality](https://protogrid.dev/badge/com.tomescout/tomescout.svg)](https://protogrid.dev/servers/com.tomescout/tomescout)
- Checks run on what our credential-free, read-only probes observe; tools are never called and no code audit is performed.

### Tool changes

- 2026-09-26 `ads_keywords` removed
  - Builds a large keyword-targeting list for an Amazon Ads (sponsored products) campaign from one to five seeds, using what shoppers actually type on Amazon.com. Unlike KDP keyword boxes, ad targets may include other authors' names and book titles; prohibited and trademarked phrases are removed. Returns one keyword per line, ready to paste.
- 2026-09-26 `keyword_research` removed
  - Find what readers type into Amazon's search box around a seed phrase (Amazon.com Kindle Store or Books). Returns phrases ranked by autocomplete strength (0–100: how early and how high Amazon suggests them — a relative demand signal, not search volume), and marks each phrase as safe for KDP keyword boxes, needs review, Amazon Ads only (author/title names) or avoid (prohibited or trademarked). Use it before writing a title, subtitle or the 7 keyword boxes.

## Tools (4)

- `bsr_to_sales`: Turns an Amazon Best Sellers Rank (the 'Best Sellers Rank' line on a book's Amazon page, overall store rank) into an estimated range of units per day and per month, using two independent public models. Amazon.com (Kindle Store or print); UK/DE are rough scalings. Optionally multiplies by royalty per sale.
- `check_listing`: Checks a book's title, subtitle, description, keyword boxes and categories against Amazon KDP's published metadata guidelines (length limits, allowed HTML, prohibited claims, other authors/titles/trademarks, programme names, contact details, review requests, emojis) and gives optimisation tips. Each issue links to the KDP help page it comes from.
- `keyword_boxes`: Packs keyword phrases (most important first) into KDP's 7 keyword boxes of 50 characters each. Removes words already in the title/subtitle, drops prohibited, trademarked and likely author/title phrases, and reports what did not fit.
- `royalty_calculator`: Calculates KDP royalties per sale. eBook: 70% vs 35% option for any of 13 Amazon stores (current 2026 price bands, delivery cost per MB, VAT/GST handling, KDP Select rules). Paperback: printing cost and royalty on Amazon.com/.co.uk/EU stores (60% or 50% tier). Optional Kindle Unlimited earnings from pages read.
